Leveraging Teaching & Co-Teaching by Looking at Student Work (LASW)

February 1 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Teachers and co-teachers will learn to get closer to scholar work to better understand the gaps and barriers that scholars are experiencing in order to target supports and leverage various co-teaching models to offer targeted supports.  This workshop will expose participants to the powerful and simple protocol of Looking at Student Work to make adjustments to their existing planning to better meet the needs of scholars. Teachers will walk away with a powerful protocol that they can take back to their schools and use on their own, with co-teachers, or with their grade teams.  Participants of this session should already have solid understanding of how to plan for standards-based lessons.

Grade team leads are also welcome to attend to turnkey this protocol for their teachers.

Attendees should bring 3-5 student work samples that you want to use to reteach or target instruction.

Presenter: Payal Seth, Regional Director of Special Services at Achievement First
