October 25 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Session 1: Setting the Vision of Effective Coaching for Equity, Language & Literacy

The Coaching for Equity, Language, and Literary Program is designed for coaches dedicated to the mission of improving culturally and linguistically responsive pedagogy through a social justice education approach. Change agents for effective coaching for equity, language and literacy need a strong vision and mission statement for what this looks like in practice.

In this first session, participants will be able to identify a vision for coaching practices no matter their content area, articulate a coaching mission statement for the school year, and outline a scope of work for coaching teams and/or individual educators. Objectives:

  • identify vision of coaching practice no matter your role (ELD coach, reading, coach, math coach, etc.)
  • explain your scope of work your mission statement for the school year
  • apply your scope of work to the coaching cycle for teams and/or individual educators

*This is a 3-part series. Unlike our other series, you MUST attend all 3 events. YOU WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY REGISTERED FOR PART TWO (01/25/19) AND PART THREE (04/11/19)
