Fostering a Culture of High Attendance & Engagement (Part 1)

October 5 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Student attendance is an equity issue, particularly in schools that serve our most resilient students.  Our call to action is to reimagine schools that authentically engage all students in the learning process. This two-part National Speaker Series* with Deirdre Williams is for all educators who champion engagement, equity, and excellence in their schools.

Through participation in a community of practice, you will gain skills for using equity-centered tools to:

•Explore promising practices that foster attendance and engagement
•Analyze relevant school data to identify possible barriers operating in your school
•Engage in discussion of relevant readings and research
•Create an action plan to begin dismantling attendance and engagement barriers.

Presenter: Deidre Williams

*Note: Collaborative members will use only ONE National Speaker Series (NSS) seat to attend this two-part series.
