How Teachers Can Turn Data Into Action

October 6 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Collecting, reviewing, and understanding data represents the best, most reliable way to identify what students retain from their learning and how to provide instruction and support to get them where they need to be. In this virtual session, Opal Dawson from ASCD will provide engaging, research-based professional learning on evaluating data and applying data analytics results to guide instruction.

This session is specifically designed for teachers and interventionists who teach a group of students across multiple contents or who teach multiple groups of students in a single content across grade levels. Participants will leave this interactive session with tools to monitor student progress that reveal evidence of student understanding, and concrete next steps to use existing data to inform future instruction.

Note: Please bring a student data set, including but not limited to NWEA MAP data, iReady assessment data, STEP/GR data, informal/qualitative notes, a sample of internal classroom assessments or exit tickets, etc.
