This secondary workshop will provide a research and theoretical base for how to integrate vocabulary instruction into our middle and high school classrooms in ways that are meaningful and authentic, allowing for long-term retention. Participants will explore a variety of hands-on, culturally responsive, and practical activities that all content area teachers can use. Special emphasis will be placed on working with diverse learners, specifically students with special needs and ELLs/MLLs.
