It Starts with Us: SEL for K-12 Educators

December 8 @ 3:00 pm - 4:15 pm

In this session, we will focus on exploring and developing the social-emotional learning competencies of educators. Adult SEL is the essential foundation for fostering a safe, supportive and inclusive school community in both the remote and brick-and-mortar learning spaces. If educators are not aware of their own emotions and biases, they cannot cultivate the social-emotional capacities of students in a supportive and culturally-sustaining way.

By attending this session, attendees will leave with concrete ways to reflect on their own social-emotional learning and strategies to forge strong connections with both students and colleagues.
