In the end, educational equity work is about three key responsibilities: (1) identifying every form of inequity operating in our schools even in the subtlest ways, (2) eliminating that inequity, and (3) actively cultivating equity through purposefully equity-minded policies, practices, leadership, and institutional culture. In this workshop we will lay out what we call a transformative approach to educational equity that is based around these three responsibilities. We will introduce a basic framework for adopting this transformative approach in schools.
