Many teachers question how they can authentically engage their ELL students, especially those with lower levels of English proficiency. In this workshop, we will explore different activities and approaches to lesson planning to make sure that teachers are engaging their English Learners in the classroom. Topics covered range from purposeful groupings and group work to tracking oral language progress through whole classroom discussion participation. Participants will walk away with a bigger arsenal of ELL engagement strategies to use when planning lessons and activities.
