The National Institute of Health report 75% – 80% of special education students identified with a learning disability have their basic deficits in language and reading. Good News! With the right literacy strategies and interventions, students can successfully construct meaning from text, make inferences, monitor their reading, draw conclusions, recall and summarize information. This workshop will review the basics of learning disabilities and teachers will gather effective interventions to shake-up direct and strategy instruction to improve students’ reading comprehension skills.
