The New York State Education Department’s Office of State Assessment (OSA) is responsible for the testing program that measures the attainment of the State’s learning standards in the areas of English language arts (ELA), mathematics, and science for students with the most severe disabilities in Grades 3-8 and high school.
The Dynamic Learning Maps® (DLM®) Alternate Assessment Consortium offers individual support to state partners, professional development modules and a virtual community of practice to support educators who teach and assess students participating in the DLM system. ACERI: Alternate Assessment, Curriculum, Evaluation, Research, and Instruction. Staff are experienced educators and dynamic consultants who collaborate with teachers, schools, districts, and states to improve educational opportunities for students in special education services, especially intellectual disabilities and autism.
