Specially Designed Instruction in the Co-Taught Classroom

February 27 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Providing supports to students with disabilities in inclusive settings has great benefit — but how do you assure that each student still gets the individualized supports they need? In this session, learn effective strategies to leverage the power of multiple educators in a room to provide Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) in the inclusive co-taught classroom. Co-teachers* will have the opportunity to review lessons with SDI lens, consider when and how they would use they could embed and deliver SDI, and have time to explore resources and create next steps. NOTE: This session was rescheduled from 02/26 to 02/27.

By attending this session, attendees will leave with…
-a clear understanding of what Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) is
-strategies to address individual needs of students and their IEP goals using the co-teaching models.

*Co-teaching pairs should attend together. Coaches are welcome!
