Is your math program aligned to a college-ready bar? Examine your instructional model, and consider how to drive teacher practice toward conceptual and engaging math instruction. In this session we engage in math problem solving and discourse, unpacking a rigorous problem as students. We will then reflect on your current instructional vision for math, and how to enhance teachers’ instructional capacity to reach that vision.
By attending this session, leaders will leave with an experiencing the type of learning that embodies the college-ready bar, understanding the kinds of shifts necessary in daily instruction needed to achieve this college-ready bar, and thinking about school/network readiness work needed to make these shifts and realize a college-ready vision.
