UDL 2.0: The Principle of Engagement & the Affective Network (Part 1)

October 27 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join Kasia Derbiszewska, a member of the distinguished CAST National Faculty and co-author of Supercharge Your Professional Learning: 40 Concrete Strategies that Improve Adult Learning, in Part One of this four-part National Speaker Series* on UDL and the brain. In this session, we’ll cover the Affective Network, which guides how we feel and interact with our environments. In this session participants will explore how learners differ in the ways in which they engage or are motivated to learn and will learn how to design learning environments that address how to recruit student interest and help sustain their effort, persistence, and self-regulation.

By attending this session, attendees will leave with concrete tools and strategies for how to recruit interest, sustain effort and persistence, and how to self regulate.

Due to the nature of this session, we will NOT be recording, so live attendance is encouraged.

Presenter: Kasia Derbiszewska

*Note: Collaborative members will use only ONE National Speaker Series (NSS) seat to attend this four-part series.
