Using Data to Inform Instruction in the High School Classroom (Part 1)

Come learn with current NYC charter practitioner and National Board Certified Teacher, Allison Dodson-Bonaminio! In Part 1 of a two-part series, educators will gain insights into the what, why, and how of assessment in the high school classroom.

Throughout the session, attendees will focus on the foundations of effective assessment. There will also be time to explore designing formative assessments and attendees will be able to take back strategies to use right away in their classrooms.

By attending this session, attendees will leave with…

  • increased knowledge of the different types of assessments to use in the classroom
  • knowledge of how to design effective formative assessments that assess student mastery and drive instruction/differentiation
