What are our students thinking? One aspect of remote teaching that is challenging is “seeing” student work. This session is all about how to use Nearpod, an extension for Google Slides, to support students showing their thinking and work beyond their answer. Showing mathematical thinking supports cultivating mathematical identities, coaching in feedback, and anti-bias teaching of mathematics through student work evidence versus assumption.
By attending this session, participants will expand their remote teaching toolkit by experiencing Nearpod, creating a Nearpod slide deck and also know-how to convert synchronous content to asynchronous content.
