In this full day, in-person session, counselors and social workers will have the opportunity to network with peers, learn and share best practices, and feel empowered to better support their school communities for an impactful Spring semester.
In the morning session, the SWEET Institute will provide participants strategies and interventions for managing behaviors of children with ADHD and ODD. While the content will be tailored for school-based mental health professionals, participants will also walk away with ideas to share with teachers & families. Anyone with LMSW, LCSW, LMHC or psychologist licensures in NYS will be able to get three hours toward their annual continuing education units (CEUs)!
In the afternoon, we’ll learn from Francesca Sternfeld, who will focus on applied attachment theory in work with children and adolescents. Participants will walk away with a foundational understanding of applied attachment theory, as well as interventions and applications within a school context.
