Calling all charter middle and high schools! NYC Teenspace, a program now offered by NYC Health Department powered by Talkspace, provides any NYC teen 13-17 with virtual therapy with a licensed therapist, at no cost, and is part of the Mayor’s mental health agenda focused on improving family and youth mental health. Talkspace providers can speak over 30+ languages and receive training on providing culturally competent care.
In this FREE info session for school-based mental health leads, Talkspace Lead Clinician Ryan Kelly, LCSW and Lea Krugolets, Talkspace Senior Director of Youth Programs, will introduce and explain this new initiative. They’ll explain the sign-up process, parent/guardian consent procedure, the crisis protocol, and how virtual therapy and self-guided resources can help address top school concerns such as absenteeism, behavioral concerns, and graduation rates.
