In this FULL DAY, IN-PERSON session (Part 1 of 3*), participants will explore the neurobiological impact of trauma on students’ psychological, emotional, and behavioral wellbeing, and a framework for the principles of trauma responsive educational practices. School teams will gain a greater understanding of how to recognize the impacts of trauma in students’ behaviors and how to respond in ways that are developmentally supportive. The workshop will also highlight the importance of understanding and addressing secondary traumatic stress among staff as a critical part of building capacity to meet students’ needs.
Facilitator: Micere Keels
Note: Schools will use ONE School Team Learning Cohort seat per participants for this 3-part series.
