In this session, we focus on integrating high-impact, low-prep trauma-informed practices for MLLs/ELLs, underpinned by Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Culturally Responsive and Sustaining Practice (CRSP). This session is tailored to equip educators with the knowledge and tools to create equitable and supportive environments for all students, with a particular emphasis on recently arrived newcomers.
By attending this session, participants will leave with:
- Enhanced understanding of UDL and CRSP as foundational elements for trauma-informed practices, as well as a deeper knowledge of immigration distinctions and their implications for the learning space.
- Skills to implement trauma-informed strategies that are equitable, inclusive, and accessible across a spectrum of English learning.
- Increased knowledge to adapt these strategies to diverse cultural contexts, particularly for MLLs/ELLs.
