Our roundtable discussions bring together practitioners from across the charter sector to share best practices and surface common problems (and brainstorm solutions!) on different special populations topics. These sessions are HIGHLY INTERACTIVE and learning will largely be driven by what the participants bring ready to discuss and share. Based on the discussion, more targeted follow up learning may be organized.
This roundtable discussion in particular will focus on MLL/ELL grading. The conversation will focus on equitable grading practices for MLLs/ELLs in the ENL or core content classroom. While the Collaborative will be sharing a few resources to consider and explore around grading practices for MLLs/ELLs, we invite you to come ready to share as well. If your school site has a grading system for MLLs/ELLs that’s working, come and share with the community. If your school is struggling to find a grading system that works, come and ask questions.
