It is important to integrate mental health into the daily work of schools by ensuring that every staff member knows and understands their role in supporting students who are struggling to cope with emotional and behavioral dysregulation. Research shows that time-limited, pull-out, small group interventions don’t result in sustained improvements unless they are coupled with practice and reinforcement in the classroom and other school spaces throughout the school. During this workshop (Part 3 of 3*), participants will learn how to reduce the number of students who will need intensive interventions by increasing the capacity of classroom teachers and other non-counseling staff to create environments that are developmentally supportive for students coping with trauma.
Facilitator: Micere Keels
Note: Each participant from the school team will use ONE School Teams Learning Cohort seat to attend this 3-part series.
